The Jatropha plant can be cultivated almost anywhere.
One acre of Jatropha farms is enough to make 2000 liters of biodiesel.

As pioneers of this technology practically feasible, NUST has maintained a model farm covering an area of 15 hectares for the cultivation of Jatropha. Given the enormous potential of this project, half a million jatropha trees have been planted with 4-5 million plans to plant trees this year.
Projects like these show there is no lack of talent in our country and people who can cope with the problems our country faces right now.
If the potential of this development is fully utilized by the government (through large-scale production), could result in a significant reduction in our oil import bill and give our people relief from prices fuels.
