IT News: Cheap Alternative of Diesel Prepared by SCME–NUST

The country's economic condition is deteriorating steadily and the fuel section is no exception. There seems to be an increase in price every two weeks that pushed prices to new heights while.

One can obtain the magnitude of our dependence on foreign oil by the fact that our oil imports are expected to reach 6.5 billion this year.

The fight against this problem head on, the SCME (School of Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering) School of NUST (National University of Engineering and Technology) has released biodiesel made from Jatropha plant.

PTCL offers 50MB Speed to Beta Testers

Shortly after PTCL press release in relation to 50MB broadband connections for home users, people began to label this as some far distant future.

But the news is that PTCL once again hit the industry with the launch of broadband connection of 50 MB for beta testers, with the name "ULTRANET."

For now, the network deployment is underway, and for this company is offering a trial account (as part of the network tests) limited home and business users in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

Helpline Call Charges are Increased 50% by Warid

Warid Tel has increased the cost of the hotline call by 50 percent. From now on all calls made to representatives of Warid customer service is billed as R 1.50 per call plus tax to be effective from May 20 onwards. The announcement was made for prepaid customers on Wednesday.

Warid is the third operator raised its rates call centers serving customers after Mobilink and Telenor, which soared 100 percent of the cost of the call helpline in the last few months ago.

Mobilink and Telenor charges call help line have increased to Rs 2 per call in November 2010 and April 211, respectively. Mobilink charges have increased to Rs. 2.42 tax included,

An Agreement between Microsoft & Nokia

Nokia and Microsoft announced today the signing of a definitive agreement for a partnership that will lead to a new global mobile ecosystem, the use of highly complementary assets of both companies. Completed ahead of schedule, the final agreement is consistent with the joint announcement made on 11 February.

Besides the acceptance of the terms of their partnership, including joint contributions to the development of new ecosystem, Nokia and Microsoft also announced significant progress in the development of the first products incorporating Windows Nokia Phone. With hundreds of people already involved in joint engineering efforts, companies are collaborating on a portfolio of new Nokia devices.

Intel and Micron Technology have started sampling NAND flash memories

Intel and Micron Technology said to have begun sampling NAND flash memory built into a more new, smaller than the current versions of the chips, which are used for storage in mobile devices such as phones and tablet computers, as well as units solid state (SSD) used for enterprise storage environments.

The result of the new process will be to enable engineers to fit more memory in less space, freeing up as much as 30 to 40 percent more board space of current technologies.

A New Data Center in Taxas from CISCO

Cisco is not just a hardware provider networks, are also a consumer of data center technologies and its own power operations.

Cisco today took the wraps off a new 5-megawatt, 30,000 square foot data center in Allen, Texas, which serves as the center's own internal tag private Cisco and WebEx services.
